Guest Blogger

Ok, so I guest blogged over at Brit's Home today. I've never wrote on someone else's blog, but I did. It was fun because it was through WordPress instead of Blogger. Interesting and I kinda like the way they do things over there. But ya know... this is home. :-)

So much for blogging more while being on vacation. I did lots of crafting by working on some unfinished projects, talked several times a day to mom, cleaned out my email box, cleaned the desk area, and played (boy did I play) with the kids.

Today was the first day back at work in almost a week and a half. Blah! That's all I'm gonna say about that. I just don't get it. You work so hard to go on vacation and then you have to work even harder when you come back. :-( I guess that's why no one looks forward to going back to work.

Not feeling up to writing much more than this. I wish my mp3 player would hurry up and load my new stuff already. :-( I wanna go to bed. I've got to get out of this staying up past 10:30p crap. I'm not on vacation any more. :-(

Here's a picture for you all:
I just love when they play like this with each other! Ta ta!

OMG!! Simply Super Crecent Cinnamon Rolls!!

So I had 2 tubes of crescent rolls that really needed to be used up and I was in the mood for something sweet. I hopped on over to www.Pillsbury.com to see what I could find. Oh, man! Did I find it!! Not that I wouldn't purchase the tubed cinnamon rolls. I certainly made those back in the dairy and egg days... oh and those night after a long drinking night in college... SO... to the kitchen I went (luckily I had all ingredients on hand).

Here are some photos to tempt you into making these. They are so freakin easy. Now, because of food allergies in our house I subbed out the butter for Smart Balance light and the milk for soy milk. I also tried some of the glaze on the rolls before I realized I needed to put it back in the fridge to firm up (the white stuff in the pic below).I didn't read the directions very well and didn't twist (as you can see from the pics) and didn't use a pan, but used my cake pan that actually worked out very well. Because of the butter substitute I also used my magic bullet to blend (stirring was just not working) the glaze ingredients and then put in the fridge to firm up. Can I say... I ate 3. I've got to put the rest away! OMG!
You can find the recipe here. Enjoy! Ta ta!

Pumpkin Patchin 2009

Ok, so I am really bad... really, really bad about updating this lately. Who knows if anyone is going to see this or not. Well, I've finally got at least the most recent photos uploaded so I can show you all.

Kids are growing like weeds. We've been dealing with sickness here and there, even though it seems like we're sick all the time... we went for such a long stretch too. Oh well. Hopefully we will maintain through the summer and no major sicknesses will happen. There always is the annual Danny getting bronchitis though to look forward to. But, maybe since he's quit smoking, losing weight, and no longer using his inhaler he may just luck out this year. Fingers crossed.

Work is super busy for me. I've been non-stop here there and everywhere for work since the beginning of September. Fall is always so busy, but it has been well worth it this year. I think I'm done with the bulk of overnight trips til I go to Phoenix, AZ in January for the AHMI conference as a presenter. I'm rather excited about that and pretty nervous too. Should be a great time though. Shoot... Ohio January and AZ January... bring it on! :-)

Danny is super busy with work and his top secret project. So far it's going really well and he's on the right path. He's happy, but stressed. You know you're on the right path when you're both of those.

I'm actually on vacation this week... so who knows how many posts I'll have. Maybe I'll get back into the swing of this blog thing. Ta ta!

Don't know how it happened but it did. I apologize if you get an email that is my email address and it's something that i would NEVER send my entire email address list. :-( It even showed up here on my blog! WTF? Well, sorry I've been MIA. Life is just way too busy and now I have a huge crisis at work to deal with. I promise to blog and post pics soon!

Sarah Who?

Man... no missing blogger reports, no nothing. Oh well. No love for me. I have to say that's a good thing though cause I haven't been a social net butterfly lately. Well at least for 11 days now. I've been suffering terribly with a migraine for yes, 12 straight days. It got so bad (had trouble moving my eyes, which I had been told in the past that was an immediate trip to the ER because of my cyst) on Sunday, that I was at the ER most of the day which entailed a CT scan, Tordal, 4 vials of blood, a dark room (thank you Derrick and Chuck my wonderful handsome nurses), lots of sleeping off and on, and leaving with a headache still and 2 scripts for Fenegren (for nausea) and the other for Vicoten (mmmm). Neither did me any good except causing me like I had drank the night away (even had the stagger going on) and making me sleep for oh... 15 HOURS when I got home!

I woke up Monday morning with the headache still. Danny re-arranged his schedule (meaning is employees actually had to cover the day for him for a change), kept watch over the kids all day, took me to the doc where I left with 2 more scripts and a more concise answer: Yes, you have swelling behind your eyes and in your tubes (ears) AND a migrane. Fan-freakin-tastic. So a script for a steriod and a step 1 migrane med later... well... let's just say I am feeling better and did make it to work today. The only problem is that it's still there (it feels like that dull headache starting or going away feeling) and the migrane med makes me feel really foggy and dizzy at times (as says the warning on the bottle, go figure). Doc said that I needed to give it til Wednesday and then we'll take another eval.

On other news... yeah life has been fun. I've got a 3yr old who is now in the "why" and "what's that" phase. I've also got the 1 yr old "pointing at everything I want and I want it NOW" phase. I sure love my kids, but they have been getting the bad end of my mommy stick with all this pain in my head. Luckily, I had some good, quality, quiet, bonding, cuddly, snuggly time with Alex and all seems to be good. I'll have to find some time where Kenzie and I can get that, but she sure hasn't been very cuddly lately. She's in that "must keep going" phase of life too. She's a nut.

Well, hopefully this update will last you for a bit. I know I blogged and it's still in draft mode... someday I'll post it... :-) Promise of updated pics too soon! Hugs to all!
